  • Bullying

by Akash Khatri Bullying 1 December 2020 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Have you, even in the slightest way, ever bullied or been bullied? I think most of us have, and that’s an unfortunate thing on both the sides. People of all ages are bullied, or bully someone, from a very young age to an old age, too; and at every possible place. May it be at the playground, or schools and colleges or public places, and so on. Not only peers, friends, fellow mates or strangers; sometimes even family members and relatives are responsible for bullying. Even unnoticed things such as some rude comment, or a taunt can hurt someone deeply; and this promotes bullying. Types of bullying: Physical bullying: When bullies try to hurt or torture someone physically, or even touch them without their consent. Verbal bullying: It is when a person taunts or teases the other person. Psychological bullying: When a person or group of people gossip about another person or exclude them from being part of the group, can be termed as psychological bullying. Cyber bullying: When bullies insult, hurt, spread rumours about or harass someone on social media. They make embarrassing and degrading (sometimes very inappropriate) comments, even on public forums, where others can see them; and hurt the person. Bullies also share the person’s personal information, pictures or videos to spoil someone’s public image. Sometimes, we say or do things that we think are just for fun; but it might be affecting the other person. And if they ask you to stop, do not continue doing it. And if you notice someone bullying or being bullied, call it out. Bullies haven’t always been the same. Some things in their life made them do it once or maybe twice; but they resorted to it. Sometimes, the ones who are bullied turn into bullies. Calling out will bring the bullies forward and preventing bullying will not only save people from being bullied, but can also help prevent more people turning into bullies. • How To Create A Capsule Wardrobe

by Priti Sharma How To Create A Capsule Wardrobe 7 November 2022 FASHION Advertisement Despite having a wardrobe full of clothing, do you ever tell yourself, "I have nothing to wear." I know firsthand how irritating it can be to have an overflowing wardrobe full of clothes we may not particularly enjoy wearing. Can you genuinely say that you wear every piece of clothing in your closet? If the answer is no, keep reading to learn how to begin effectively cleaning your closet and creating a wardrobe that you will want to wear every day. But first, what is a capsule wardrobe anyway? A capsule wardrobe is a collection of carefully chosen, classic pieces that never go out of style. (Your closet already has a capsule wardrobe.) The things in a capsule wardrobe are the ones you adore wearing every day. Many minimalists contend that a capsule wardrobe should consist of between 30 and 50 things for the whole year, but I disagree. A capsule wardrobe should be created around your lifestyle and comprise items that you enjoy wearing and that make you happy. How to start a capsule wardrobe? Step 1: Analyze your style and lifestyle: Knowing our style is the first step to creating a wardrobe you will enjoy. You can take a style quiz to gain a general idea of what kind dominates in your life. Step 2: Track what you like to wear for 30 days: There are many ways to do this, either by manually tracking down what you wore every day in a notebook or in the note app on your mobile phone whenever and wherever and whatever comes to your mind while working or walking through the park, or while listening to some music. Step 3: The closet clean-out! You will have a better idea of your existing capsule wardrobe that currently exists in your closet after tracking what you wore effortlessly for 30 days. There is no magic number; creating a capsule wardrobe is about choosing the clothes you want to wear. Of course, you'll have gorgeous formal gowns you wear to weddings once a year, as well as your athletic wear and loungewear. They are not included in your capsule. Think of your capsule as your “go-to” rack of things you love to wear every day based on your lifestyle. The second pile represents the bulk of the job; it is now time to classify the remaining items. Before organizing, examine each thing to ensure that the idea of wearing it in the future makes you joyful. I would just get rid of it if it makes you feel guilty or like you have to wear it for "x reason." Sort your clothing into these categories: all-year fundamentals, Summer and spring, autumn and winter, and sell/donate pile. Keep track of the number of things you have in each category before deciding whether to create an annual or seasonal capsule. Although every one of us has a different lifestyle, it's crucial to continue wearing the clothes we enjoy. I personally enjoy creating seasonal capsule wardrobes because it declutters my closet by putting away the things I won't be using, and it allows me to view everything I have for the current season and think of new ways to style and wear the same items. I find it really energizing and enjoyable that when the seasons change, your old clothing transforms into your "new capsule" without the need to shop! Step 4: Define your colors / create a color palette to guide your future shopping: When creating a capsule wardrobe, a color palette is something optional but highly helpful because it serves as a shopping reference. Following the experiment of wearing 30 different products for 30 days, you will discover which colors you like to wear again. These colors may then be added to your color palette reference guide, giving you a direction for choosing colors when you go shopping in the future. Step 5: Map out your capsule and create a wishlist for missing items: It's time to develop a mental or visual map of your capsule or capsules to assist you to purchase less now that you've chosen your basics and given what you don't enjoy. If, after categorizing your wardrobe, you discovered that many of your "all-year staples" can be worn in the fall and winter, you no longer have an excuse to buy a new sweater. Instead, you should experiment with layering and set a goal for yourself to wear your sweaters throughout the year. Making a checklist of how many additional tops you believe you could need can help you finish your spring capsule wardrobe. You might have discovered during your closet clean-out that you don't have enough new and breathable tops for spring. Step 6: Rewear before you have the urge to buy again: This is the stage when you learn to be more creative, thus I believe it to be my favorite. I try to make myself put on an item from my closet that I haven't worn in a while whenever I feel the want to purchase it. It's acceptable to just get rid of it and donate it to someone who might enjoy and re-wear it more than you if you try to re-wear anything and you don't feel confident or attractive in it. We never have the perfect closet, and occasionally we hang onto things because we are not used to letting go. Step 7: Invest in quality over quantity, your clothes shouldn’t cost as much as your cup of coffee, and here’s why: Learn about the fibers used in the clothing you buy, as well as the implications of tossing away clothing, if you want to become a more deliberate consumer. Did you know that 85% of textile waste in the USA ends up in landfills? Rewearing is the main way to lessen your fashion footprint. If you must purchase anything new, consider buying used items or supporting firms that are ethical, sustainable, and that use natural and organic textiles as well as recycled materials when producing their clothing. Sometimes, environmentally friendly clothing may cost more than conventional clothing, but this is only because environmentally friendly manufacturers pledge to pay their employees a fair salary and to use only premium, natural, or recycled materials. Your clothing shouldn't be as expensive as your morning brew. We must develop the habit of paying reasonable rates for goods. #Fashion #Capsule Wardrobe #Clothing #collection #Style #Colours SEARCH The Rich Heritage of Indian Handloom FASHION Fashion In The 19th Century FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION The Influence Of Kanye West On Fashion FASHION K-Pop Fashion And Its Impact On Global Wardrobe FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Anushka Sharma Dubai Fashion Week Day Five: Emerging Talents, Cultural Heritage, And Global Fashion Dialogues 14 September 2024 FASHION By Anushka Sharma Marina Ignjat: A Journey Through Style And Travel 13 September 2024 FASHION By Anushka Sharma Anaya Collection Unveils "Gaudí’s Reverie" At Dubai Fashion Week: A Fusion Of Love, Technique, And Playful Elegance 11 September 2024 FASHION By Anushka Sharma Hebajasmi Unveils Captivating New Collection For SS25: A Masterpiece Of Art And Fashion 10 September 2024 FASHION RELATED POSTS

  • Single parenthood and family

by Akash Khatri Single parenthood and family 1 December 2020 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Slowly generalising concept yet feels like a terror to me . I’m not writing it hypothetically rather have seen this. Families emerged from single Parenthood on a positive aspect know struggle and manage to include themselves in the hardy layer of the society whereas on a negative aspect they can just be as jeopardized as possible. Single parenthood if not self chosen could be a disaster for the parent itself ,juggling between kids, work, household and what not as if you’ve to do single handed plank when your core isn’t used to it. However, I fear for self chosen single parenting because the shrinkage from joint families to single parent families are somewhere responsible in the upbringing and personality development of a child as well. How are they supposed to learn actions oriented moral ethics and values if they are not getting various people to observe in their house. In a nutshell, the pursuit of single parenthood must be a big no ,no matter how much it’s covered or layered with positive attributes, it’s hard for both the child and the parent and we as humans don’t opt for harder things by nature, do we ? #family #singleparent #singleparenthood #society SEARCH Women Empowerment A mere concept or a real Concern SOCIETY Looking Through The Excellence Of ‘Jaali’ Architecture SOCIETY Why the Gender Pay Gap is Wide and Disturbing SOCIETY Festival of Stones SOCIETY The Pygmalion Effect SOCIETY POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement By Anushka Sharma Uniting Voices, Shaping Futures: Dive Into Mun 2.0 At NIT Patna 8 September 2024 SOCIETY By Anushka Sharma These Healthy Habits Can Lower Your Risk Of Depression 31 August 2024 SOCIETY By Rini Pathak A Glance In The Kshitij’23: A Euphoric Escapade 26 January 2024 SOCIETY By Rini Pathak Mithibai Kshitij: Epitome Of Diverse Social Cause Empowerment 24 January 2024 SOCIETY RELATED POSTS

Dubia offers a multifarious spectrum of luxurious indulgences that will make your head spin. Helicopter tours, private desert safaris, underwater hotel rooms, it's like a menu of dreams. And let's not forget the Michelin-starred restaurants and designer boutiques in opulent malls. Is anyone keen on an exciting shopping spree? Let’s talk about hotels now, Dubia is the Hub of the world’s best hotels, if there's a place that screams opulence, it's the Palazzo Versace Dubai. Sound familiar? You should feel happy for her right? But the honest truth is that you can’t help seething, can you? We’ve all been there. “Feeling jealous can provide valuable information about yourself, ” says Zelana Montminy, author of 21 days of resilience. by Aishwarya Virgin Territory: These non-alcoholic thirst quenchers are mixologist approved 2 November 2022 FOOD Advertisement Advertisement Are you a non-alcoholic person? Well, if yes, then having a drink at that party would be a task for you. All thanks to mocktails that come to the rescue. Well, what is a mocktail? Mocktail is a cocktail, without alcohol. Just like a cocktail, a mocktail is made by mixing different fruit juices. They are a fun way to get drinking without alcohol. Mocktails are often called names, like the non-alcoholic cocktail, non-alcoholic mixed drink, spirit-free drink, and the famous virgin drink. All these names are identifying the same thing; mocktails. Mocktails are made in many different ways. For example, the infusion method is where the ingredients are infused with each other. While the word infusion might make it sound like a difficult process, it's quite easy to pull off. Another method is known as Oleo Saccharum. Never heard of it? It is a Latin word for “oil sugar”. This is in context with the process of using sugar to extract aromatic oils from citrus. So, mocktails prepared like this will have delicious looks, taste and, smell. Another method preferred by those who love creamy drinks is egg whites. Incorporating egg whites into the drink makes it denser, creamier, rich and silky. Then comes; shrub- a non-alcoholic drink that is made with fruit, sugar, aromatics and vinegar. (Yes, you read that right!) Well, as gross as it sounds, it isn’t that bad the taste. It just adds that zing of tanginess to your mocktails. Now that we know about mocktails and their process, let’s dive into the vast variety of them. Mango Mule: Mango is that national crush, which is everyone's favourite. You can never go wrong with mango, the right process and, the right combinations. Mango Mule is a cool and refreshing drink. It consists of spices that just hits the right spots. It has fresh mint, ginger, mango and lots of love! Citrus Fizz: This is the perfect drink for the summer reason. It just tastes like gin and tonic, but the best part is that it has fruits. It is a refreshing drink, with hints of fruits in there. Virgin Cucumber Gimlet: This cool and refreshing drink has been enjoyed for decades now. It has a crisp taste that was derived from fresh cucumbers, and not distilled water. It is a classic mocktail that is perfect for any celebration. Shirley Temple: As absurd as the name of the drink is, it is a tasty and refreshing drink to have. It goes well with any celebration at any time. It has the fruitiness and also the fizz of the soda, that will make your palette dance. Arnold Palmer: As the name suggests, it is the favourite summertime drink of the golf legend Arnold Palmers. It is made with half tea and lemonade with honey. It is tasty, healthy, and easy-peasy! Dalgona Coffee: The next candidate is Dalgona Coffee! We cannot forget the craze and hype, Dalgona Coffee had during the pandemic. We all have tried this recipe at least once at our homes. Well, the recipe is not even needed for this one, but still, it is made with whipped cream and coffee. This mocktail is the best to have before an office meeting, to get into the boss vibes! Well, mocktails are a great alternative to avoid alcohol. While we have many recipes out there, you can always try and mix your favourite juices and make one for yourselves. • If Uzbekistan Isn’t On Your Travel List, Here Is Exactly Why It Should Be

By Anushka Sharma If Uzbekistan Isn’t On Your Travel List, Here Is Exactly Why It Should Be 21 March 2024 TRAVEL Advertisement Advertisement Uzbekistan – ever heard of it? If not, get ready for a travel revelation! It's that awesome country in Central Asia that's bursting with history, culture, and amazing experiences. So why should you hop on a plane and explore Uzbekistan? Let's dive in! First off, Uzbekistan is like a time capsule of ancient wonders. Picture this: two of the oldest cities in Central Asia, Samarkand and Bukhara, standing tall since way back when. And then there's Timur, or Tamerlane, the local hero who conquered half the world in the 14th century. You'll see statues of him everywhere, and trust me, he's kind of a big deal. Now, let's talk about the sights. Uzbekistan is a treasure trove of historic gems. From the breathtaking Registan Square in Samarkand to the mystical Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, you'll feel like you've stepped into a history book – but way cooler. And if you're a museum geek like me, you'll love exploring places like the Amir Timur Museum and the Museum of History of Uzbekistan. But it's not all about history – Uzbekistan is also a feast for the eyes! The Islamic architecture is out of this world, with dazzling mosques, mausoleums, and madrasahs at every turn. Seriously, you won't be able to stop snapping photos of the intricate mosaics and towering minarets. And let's not forget about the food – oh, the food! Plov, the national dish, is a hearty rice pilaf that'll make your taste buds dance. And then there's lagman, shashlik, manti, and so much more. Plus, you can wash it all down with some refreshing green tea – the perfect way to end a delicious meal. But what really makes Uzbekistan special is the people. They're some of the friendliest folks you'll ever meet, always ready with a warm smile and a helping hand. And if you're into shopping, you'll love browsing the bustling bazaars filled with handmade crafts and local treasures. Oh, and did I mention silk paper? Yeah, Uzbekistan is famous for that too. You can visit Koni Ghil village and see how it's made – it's like stepping back in time to a bygone era of craftsmanship and tradition. So there you have it – Uzbekistan in a nutshell. With its rich history, stunning architecture, mouthwatering cuisine, and welcoming people, it's the perfect destination for your next adventure. Trust us you won't be disappointed and will come with a pack full of memories and soveniers! • These Fashion Trends Are Literally Scary For Your Health

By Anushka Sharma These Fashion Trends Are Literally Scary For Your Health 1 April 2024 FASHION Advertisement Fashion is like a thrilling roller coaster ride, isn't it? It's full of twists, turns, and unexpected surprises. However, did you know that some of those surprises lurking in your closet might not be so fun after all? Buckle up, because we're about to uncover the hidden dangers of fast fashion and trendy accessories. Fast fashion is like the speedy Gonzales of the clothing world. It churns out cheap clothes faster than you can say "fashion emergency." But here's the catch: those super affordable threads often come with a not-so-pleasant side effect. They're loaded with chemicals that can irritate your skin and even cause health issues. Think of it like wearing a toxic soup – definitely not a good look! Now, let's talk about everyone's favorite footwear: sneakers. They're comfy, stylish, and practically a fashion staple these days. But did you know that wearing sneakers too much can mess with your feet? Yep, it's true! They can throw off your posture and even lead to painful foot problems. So, while you're busy rocking those kicks, your poor feet might be silently screaming for a break. And then there are waist trainers – those trendy contraptions designed to give you that coveted hourglass figure. Sounds great, right? Well, not exactly. Sure, they might help you cinch your waist, but they can also wreak havoc on your body. From messing with your appetite to causing serious breathing issues, waist trainers are like the fashion equivalent of a tight squeeze. But let's not forget about the accessories, because they come with their own set of dangers too. Heavy earrings might look glam, but they can actually stretch out your earlobes or even cause them to split. Ouch! And those ill-fitting thongs? They can rub you the wrong way and leave you feeling seriously uncomfortable. So, what's a fashion-forward individual to do in a world full of wardrobe woes? Well, for starters, it's important to be mindful of what you're putting on your body. Opt for clothes made from natural materials whenever possible, and steer clear of anything that feels scratchy or uncomfortable. When it comes to footwear, choose shoes that offer both style and support. And don't forget to give your feet a break every now and then – they deserve it! As for accessories, go easy on the heavy earrings and make sure your thongs fit just right. And most importantly, listen to your body. If something doesn't feel right, don't ignore it. Fashion should be fun and fabulous, not hazardous to your health. So, the next time you're getting dressed, remember to put safety first. After all, there's nothing more stylish than taking care of yourself!
