Dubai Fashion Week (DWF) is back, and it’s bigger than ever! As the fashion world preps up for a season of high glamour and innovation, DFW is setting the tone with its much-anticipated Fall/Winter 2025 showcase. Running from February 1 to 6, this fourth edition secures Dubai’s position as a global fashion force, stealing the spotlight before New York, London, Milan, and Paris take their turn. Get ready for a runway spectacle like no other!
Co-founded by Dubai Design District (D3) and the Arab Fashion Council (AFC), DFW promises a roster of new launches featuring designers and brands from across the Middle East, Asia and Europe. The excitement kicks off with the Instagram DFW Party and builds on past successful initiatives like the Round Table discussions.
“The Middle East’s growing demand for luxury fashion and its diverse craftsmanship continues to position it as a thriving hub for design talent,” says Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of Dubai Design District.
A Fusion Of Culture And Couture
Dubai Design District (D3) will turn into a mecca of creativity, showcasing over 25 established and emerging designers from across the globe, including France, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Russia, Turkey and the UAE. This eclectic mix is set to deliver a vibrant collision of cultures and creativity.
For the first time in its history, celebrated couture brand Paolo Sebastian is set to make its debut on the Dubai runways as the first Australian fashion house to showcase at the event. Known for his intricate storytelling through design, its debut promises to be nothing short of a spectacle!
Closing the week will be India’s fashion maestro, Manish Malhotra. Having worked with Bollywood’s finest talent, Malhotra’s grand finale collection is set to leave audiences spellbound with artistry and finesse.
New Talent And Fresh Perspectives
DFW is more than a runway event, it's an exciting mix of established names and rising stars. This season, luxury streetwear label Les Benjamins joins fashion powerhouses like Michael Cinco, Dima Ayad and Weinsanto, promising a showcase of boundary-pushing creativity. Adding to the excitement, diversity takes centre stage with RIVA’s inclusive designs, while Molato infuses Moroccan heritage with sustainable fashion. The avant-garde spirit continues with British-Iraqi designer Tara Babylon unveiling her debut evening wear collection while emerging talent from NIF Global London School of Trends steps into the spotlight.
Beyond the runway, fashion enthusiasts can immerse themselves in exclusive events at That Concept Store and Etoile Boutique, making this season a true celebration of global fashion and fresh perspectives.
What’s New?
One of the focal points of this edition is the International Buyers Program, running from February 3 to 5. This initiative brings together a curated selection of international buyers from global hubs like the USA, Italy, UK and Germany, expanding on DFW's vibrant retail community by connecting local designers with high-profile buyers.
Commenting on the Buyer’s Program, Mohammed Aqra, Chief Strategy Officer of the Arab Fashion Council, said: “By connecting local designers with top international buyers, we aim to drive sustainable business expansion, stimulate economic growth and enhance the global prominence of Arab fashion.”
Dubai As A Rising Fashion Empire
Dubai Fashion Week has consistently surpassed expectations with each event a huge success. The most recent editions saw Roberto Cavalli’s breathtaking collection that wrapped up the 2024 week in absolute style. In 2023, Carolina Herrera’s exclusive presentation and Naomi Campbell’s runway appearance for Rizman Ruzaini truly stole the spotlight.
Such iconic moments have strongly established the city’s foundation as the next global fashion capital. Dubai has proved to be more than a luxury shopping destination. It is a major force in the world of fashion, attracting big names and emerging designers. Each year, DFW sets the bar higher, leaving us eagerly awaiting what’s next.
